Project Background:

The project was initiated for the graduated members of the Rural Micro Credit program of DDJ with the aim to improve livelihoods and food security of moderate and hardcore poor and empowerment of the women.

Duration: June 2004 to September 2011.

Area Coverage: Pirojpur, Jhalokathi and Barisal districts.

Project Goal: The goal of the project is to improve livelihoods and food security of moderate and hardcore poor and the empowerment of women.

Objective of the Project: The project objectives were the adoption of sustainable income generating activities through poultry and livestock development with the technical assistance of PKSF.
