Project Background:

While implementing the RMC program, DDJ observed that the micro-credit alone cannot ensure overall development of the rural poor, and many small entrepreneurs, craftsmen and skilled workers in the rural areas at times struggle to overcome their sufferings due to scarcity of capital. Based on the realization that financial support to them would help promote their business/enterprises, DDJ took up Agrosor (Former Micro Enterprise Program-ME) program.

Duration: December 2004 to present.

Area Coverage: Pirojpur, Bagerhat, Jhalokathi, Barisal, Borguna and Gopalgonj.

Graduated group members of Jagoron program.

  • Provide loan to progressive members of groups;

Aware the group members on socio-economic issues.
