Project Background:

While implementing the RMC program, DDJ observed that the micro-credit alone cannot ensure overall development of the rural poor, and many small entrepreneurs, craftsmen and skilled workers in the rural areas at times struggle to overcome their sufferings due to scarcity of capital. Besides, Covid-19 pandemic has accelerated the sufferings of the rural poor in the recent times. In this covid-19 situation the project Agrosor-Microenterprise Development Project (MDP)-Additional Financing (AF) has been taken to provide special financial support to the Covid-19 affected rural poor for restoring their income generating activities i.e. business/enterprises affected by Covid-19. 

Duration: 19 May 2021 to present.

Area Coverage: Pirojpur, Bagerhat, Jhalokathi, Barisal, Borguna and Gopalgonj.

Graduated group members of Jagoron program.

Main Activities under the Project:

Provide loan to progressive members of groups;

Aware the group members on socio-economic issues.
