ENRICH

Background of the Program:

Pirojpur is a district in south-western Bangladesh. It is a riverine, low-lying plain area. Health hazards, change of profession, malnutrition, drop out of students, and many other problems are increasing in this area day by day due to poverty, natural calamities, and illiteracy. With a view to addressing these problems of the people of the area, Dak Diye Jai (DDJ) recommends/consults with PKSF to implement the ENRICH program on a priority basis in Sikdermallik union of Pirojpur Sadar upazila under Pirojpur district. As a result of the initiative, DDJ got the scope to implement the program in the union from 1 September 2014 with funding support from PKSF. Later in the year 2017, DDJ got approval from PKSF to implement the program in 3 more unions (i.e., Durgapur, Tona, & Kalakhali) of Pirojpur Sadar upazila.
